Prior to founding Thundership, Sam Macaroni was an Executive Producer/Director at The Walt Disney Company. He has written and directed successful branded entertainment campaigns for M&M’s, Windex, AT&T, Canon, JCPenney, Hot Wheels, Sony Pictures, Pepsi, Disney, the NFL, and many more. His recent work developing new standards in the budding VR space has garnered major press.
Sam wrote and directed original VR films for Jaunt and produced Disney's 360 video experiences for The Jungle Book. In April of 2016 Sam was awarded a development grant from Epic Games for his VR video game, Terror Web.
As a pioneer in VR, Sam has been teaching Virtual Reality production workshops for film students at USC
Shawn is a veteran of The Walt Disney Company, with expertise in marketing and business strategy, brand/franchise development, and content creation and distribution. Prior to co-founding THUNDERSHIP he held a strategic role at MARVEL building worldwide partnerships with brands, such as Samsung, Google, and Audi. Shawn was an early member of the company wide VR/AR Task Force and an activist for developing products, services, and content for the emerging medium. While in Marketing and Distribution at Walt Disney Studios he worked on 100+ theatrical film campaigns across banners, including DISNEY, PIXAR, MARVEL, DREAMWORKS, DISNEYNATURE, and TOUCHSTONE.
Shawn has been a co-instructor and guest lecturer for students of Marketing and Film at UCLA, Otis College of Art and Design, and Loyola Marymount University.
Tim is a multi-talented animator, producer, visual effects supervisor, director, composer and executive. In 2000 Tim won an EMMY for his exemplary work on Super Bowl XXXIV. His work spans entertainment companies, including Disney, FOX, CBS, ABC, NBC, Warner Brothers, IMAX, Discovery Channel, Universal, Hanna Barbara, Lions Gate Films. Tim has worked alongside Sam Macaroni on many VR projects.
As an expert in film and television he has been an instructor of VFX and Animation for UCLA’s Entertainment Studies Program.
Sean Bishop is recognized across the industry as a prolific animator, writer, and director. He has spearheaded several high-profile projects at studios, such as DreamWorks Animation and The Walt Disney Studios.
Troy Duffy wrote and directed the wildly popular franchise, Boondock Saints, as well as the follow-up sequel. Troy has been an early adopter, and writer and producer of several VR projects.
